Torres Strait Islander is an Oxford MBA student
As we start the New Year, Bhosten Savage the first Torres Strait Islander MBA student at Oxford Saïd, reflects on his first term. The remote Torres Strait islands – known traditionally as Zenadth Kes – is located in Australia’s northernmost region and is home to about 4000 people. Bhosten is a Charlie Perkins Scholar. The scholarship is named in honour the first Aboriginal man and civil rights activist, to graduate from university. Bhosten explains how he’s challenged himself and how he’s applied Torres Strait Islander values to the MBA programme.
