As we start the New Year, Bhosten Savage the first Torres Strait Islander MBA student at Oxford Saïd, reflects on his first term. The remote Torres Strait islands – known traditionally as Zenadth Kes – is located in Australia’s northernmost region and is home to about 4000 people. Bhosten is a Charlie Perkins Scholar. The scholarship is named in honour the first Aboriginal man and civil rights activist, to graduate from university.
