Meet Nicholas Lai (Class of 2022), who chose to pursue an MBA at HKU and disrupted traditional manufacturing methods during his studies. As a former lawyer turned General Manager of a manufacturing solutions provider and founder of a tech start-up, Nicholas developed an innovative software that presents real-time machine data on managers' smartphones, enabling remote working and improving work-life balance. His efforts won him the Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong, making him one of the youngest recipients. He is now on a mission to foster collaboration between academia and industries.
