🌟 Celebrating success at our recent Symposium - "#ActionLearning: The Catalyst for Change"! 🚀 Our #MBA (Class of ’24) students showcased their problem-solving prowess with insights from 13 immersive experiences within host companies. From plastic reduction and hotel expansion to robotic surgery decisions, they navigated diverse industries during their intense four-week immersion and one-week practicum.

🎤 The event kicked off with an address by Sangeeta M. Matu, our Director of Action Learning, followed by impactful pitches from 9 full-time MBA students representing their host companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Del Monte Foods, Inc., Phu Hung Life Insurance, Phu Hung Securities Corporation (PHS), SGX Group, Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology Centre, Etika Group of Companies, Ormond Group, Tune Hotels, and Batu Batu Resort, Pulau Tengah, Malaysia. Each student delivered a concise 3-minute pitch, tackling identified challenges and proposing innovative solutions. Joining the stage afterward were 4 EMBA students, who presented their significant findings and insights acquired during their practicum at MAMEE-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd in Malacca.

🤝 The Panel discussing how Action Learning is a rich haven for catalyzing change comprised Hemalatha Ragavan, Chief Executive Officer overseeing the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand operations at Asahi Beverages, Professor David Gonsalvez, former CEO and Rector of the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI), our 2019 alumnus Oludare Oluwajuyitan, currently working in Agoda's supply chain, and Ilham Bazi, a 2021 alumna currently employed at Mudah.my.

🏆 The Symposium concluded with an awards ceremony, recognizing outstanding achievements. Mario Paz Berríos and Buveena Vijayandren received awards for the best overall pitch, Jonathan Chandrasakaran for the most convincing pitch, and Azmarin Johari for the best onstage presence.
