He calls for stable international cooperation and long-term investment in clean technologies. According to him, our understanding of uncertainty must be redefined, beyond traditional statistical models, to fully integrate climate risks into economic and policy decisions. Lars Peter Hansen is the David Rockefeller Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago and Director of the Macro-Finance Research Programme at the Becker Friedman Institute.
