The University of Maryland’s annual 24-hour fundraising event, Giving Day, invites alumni, staff, faculty, students, parents and friends of the university to raise critical funding to advance the mission of the UMD. For the Smith School, the community contributed over $300,000, a 138% increase over the previous year. We are especially proud of the 55% increase in donors and participation from five times as many students as in 2025.
